Books, Books & more Books

Hello everyone. It’s JJ here with an update about my books for you all.

Things are going to start picking up over the next few weeks. Starting with the announcement of the publishing date of A Stage over Ruthless Stars in two weeks time. That announcement will also include the official blurb. So you’ll get a first good look at what the story is about and hopefully a link to be able to add it on goodreads. So watch out for that. I’m exciting to share that with you. If you haven’t already, you can sign up to my newsletter to make sure you don’t miss that announcement and get it directly in your email inbox.

Until then, I wanted to update my website with a page about the different books that I’m working on so nobody gets confused as I have multiple in different stages. From now on you’ll be able to reference them by clicking on Books in the menu above.

First up, A Stage over Ruthless Stars is the book I’m going to be self publishing in just a few short months. It’s a Young Adult science fiction, focusing on two teen characters and their friendship with the scifi elements being more setting for the story. Oh and people die.

Further down the line in 2025, I will also be self publishing a short story. Fight for Me is 12,000 words. It’s an urban fantasy aimed at adult readers about two immortal friends who like insulting each other. As you do.

I’m also currently seeking representation for a Young Adult contemporary fantasy. So I’m back querying literary agents after my previous agent left the industry. Haunting of a Witch is about a disabled witch living in an English seaside town. Contemporary fantasy just means there are fantasy elements but the setting is our modern world. So in this case, witches exist! The process to get an agent is a long haul but I’m excited to find a champion for this book.

That’s a lot to be getting on with, but there’s one more. Foxfire is my children’s fantasy adventure that I’m absolutely in love with. It’s got animal companions and magical forests and everything that I love in children’s adventures. It’s the first book in what is a planned trilogy and is fully written and revised and it’s simply waiting for it’s own chance to get out there.

As I said, these books will be mentioned on my website from now on under the Books heading in the menu for easy reference.

I hope everyone is doing well out there and that you’ve read some amazing books. If you have, feel free to let me know what you’ve read!
